I attended the University of California at San Diego, where I earned my BS in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Recently, I've been studying for the MCAT in preparation for medical school, and it is my goal to one day be a doctor. During my college years, I tutored and mentored students in high school, working with the university's program through a program which is focused on promoting higher achievement in learning for minority students in underserved communities. I am firmly behind the goal of increasing minority representation in the field of biomedical research. I enjoy tutoring students, and like to help empower them as they improve their academic skills in a fun and inspiring environment. I am available to tutor in a wide variety of subjects in the areas of math and science, as well as reading and writing. I also tutor students in ESL/ELL. My heart is deeply involved in the sciences, and I am driven to bring my students to appreciate the amazing things they can learn through science, and share with them what a brilliant future they could have in scientific fields. In my free time, I enjoy getting physical by going outdoors and either hiking or running.
