EducationThe Ohio State University - BS, Astronomy and Physics
ExperienceI pride myself on my ability to share with students how fun learning can be. Recognizing that to teach anything new requires the right tools for the job is key. I help my students to determine what their own learning process looks like, how it works, and how to use it to pursue their goals. Everyone approaches things differently, but I generally look at everything from the position of problem solving. Having received a degree in astronomy and physics from Ohio State University, I found that problem solving skills can go a long way, especially in math and science.Knowing from personal experience how taxing exam taking can be, I strive to teach my students how best to maneuver their way across the minefield that is the ACT, SAT, and general tests alike. I've also tutored graduate students, in addition to students at the high school level. When I'm not looking at the stars, a great amount of my time is taken up by playing the piano (I'm a long time lover of music), reading, and continuing my study of the sciences. I am also a new resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, and I am in love with the mild climate and the colorfully exciting areas I have to explore.
HobbiesI love science and science education of all kinds, but I have a particular soft spot for astronomy. I also love to read and play the piano.
