Experience
I am a Computer Science student at San Jose State University. I started programming a couple years ago and I have grown to love it. Programming didn't come easy to me so often used creative ways to understand concepts which I use on my students. I am very patient and am able to adapt to different learning style. I have experience working with children 8-14 years through summer camp and coding centers. I enjoy teaching young kids the basics so that they get a core understanding of the Computer Science and how a computer really works. I also have experience working with college students at my school's Computer Science center which is where I train and assist with more complicated material. I have taken and excelled in many Computer Science courses such at Java programming, C/C++ programming, Linux, Data structures and algorithms, object oriented design, and computer architecture just name a few. It's hard to find a tutor who is good at programming and also good at explaining. This is what makes me different from other tutors. I am able to break hard concepts down into little pieces so that students can put them together themselves and learn to program on their own. My goal is to leave a student who can research their own technologies and learn new programming skills on their own. I aim help my students develop great critical thinking skills that they can apply to any field even they don't end up pursuing programming in the future. Feel free to contact me if you can any inquiries. I am very flexible and long as you are flexible with my school schedule.
